Re-creating Yourself

"Mirrors have the power to disturb us. We see what we want to see--the image of ourselves with which we are most comfortable. But if we do look hard, we tend to feel we are seeing ourselves as others see us. That feeling makes us shudder--we see ourselves, but from the outside, minus the thoughts, spirt, and soul. We are a thing.
